Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, has won the
People's Democratic Party's primaries in the state ahead of
the gubernatorial election on November 21.
Wada is rerunning for the seat of the governor in the state.
The results of the primaries, which was held at the
Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, shows that Wada won in 20
of the 21 local government areas of the state.
He only lost in Yagba West Local Government Area, where
one of his opponents Isah Echocho won. Echocho came
second in the primaries.
The third running mate, Moses Ametuo came last in the
poll.
This may mean Wada would retain his seat as the
Governor of the State as he is unlikely to lose to candidates
of other political parties in the November poll.
